Kate Moss’s Favourite Vintage Dealer Unveils Her Dancefloor-Ready Debut Collection
Over the years, Doble has supplied myriad stylish women – the Moss family, Mariacarla Boscono, and Maya Jama included – with archive pieces from decades past, as well as new-season collaborations she’s released with brands. “My customers have been asking me for 10 years [to release my own capsule],” says Doble of the demand. Her next collection is already in the works, and she hopes to show once a year going forward.
But back to her debut. There are delicate embellishments scattered across deadstock fabrics, a voluptuous bridal-esque gown made from Georgian and Victorian materials, tapestry surface details, vegetable leather mini-shorts, waist-cinching corsetry (an Annie’s Ibiza signature), and – of course – plenty of beads and sparkle. Everything is inspired by vintage treasures Doble has sourced throughout her career. “Fashion should be timeless,” she muses. “The craftsmanship of these pieces… they are something I would want to give to my grandchild.”
