House of Samanta

House of Samanta is a London based brand designed by Italian-American designer Sam Adelstein. Her graduate collection from Central Saint Martins is inspired by women from her multi-cultural heritage, appreciation for quality over quantity, and collaboration, primarily with female craftsman and artists. Samanta’s focus is to shine light on couture techniques and crafts that are disappearing as well as telling the stories of women from around the world that have inspired her storytelling, ranging from Marchesa Casati to fictional character Samantha Jones. The brand’s design methods are sustainable, often using dead-stock fabrics and
embellishments.

Adelstein. Her graduate collection from Central Saint Martins is inspired by women from her
multi-cultural heritage, appreciation for quality over quantity, and collaboration,
primarily with female craftsman and artists. Samanta’s focus is to shine light on couture
techniques and crafts that are disappearing as well as telling the stories of women from around
the world that have inspired her storytelling, ranging from Marchesa Casati to fictional
character Samantha Jones. These women represent freedom from the societal norms for
women of their respective times. The pieces are designed for the ever bold, shamelessly brash,
free-spirited, woman of the future.
The brand’s design methods are sustainable, often using dead-stock fabrics and
embellishments; fashion pieces are wearable daily, meant for handing down from generation to
generation, as the designer’s grandmother did with her mother, and the designer’s mother with
her.
