Annie’s Collection

Annie’s own collections have grown naturally from her years of collecting vintage and working with clothes. She has spent more than 15 years travelling and searching for rare pieces, building an archive of shapes, fabrics, embellishments and techniques. Victorian silhouettes, Ottoman embroidery, 1950s stage costumes and forgotten details from vintage garments all find their way into the collections.

Her recent collections, presented at London Fashion Week, bring these references into a contemporary wardrobe. Hand stitching, glass beadwork and delicate metal embellishment are central to the designs. Many pieces are made by hand in the UK, with an enormous amount of time going into the smallest details. The collections are made in small quantities, and many pieces are one of a kind. They are not designed to be worn for one season and forgotten. Annie wants them to become the pieces that stay in a wardrobe for years, gathering memories along the way.

Vintage remains a huge part of Annie’s world. She is a collector by nature and has spent years travelling in search of pieces that have a story behind them. Some are extraordinary immediately. Others reveal themselves slowly through a beautiful fabric, an unusual cut or a tiny piece of handwork. Her archive is a constant source of inspiration. A sleeve, a stitch, an old silhouette or a particular embellishment can become the starting point for something completely new.

Rather than reproducing vintage, Annie takes these details and gives them a different life. It is this relationship between old and new that has become so characteristic of Annie’s Ibiza.

Craft & Sustainability

Annie has always been conscious of the impact of producing clothes simply for the sake of producing more clothes. For her, fashion should be about quality, creativity and longevity rather than constant consumption. The collections are therefore made in limited runs, allowing greater care and attention to be given to each garment.

Wherever possible, Annie rescues deadstock fabrics that might otherwise go to waste, giving them a new life within her collections. Recycled beads, natural fibres and other considered materials are also used, alongside newer innovations such as seaweed textiles and cactus leather. She is curious about new ways of making clothes more responsibly, while never compromising on the beauty, character or craftsmanship that sit at the heart of her designs.

For Annie, sustainability is ultimately about longevity. A beautiful garment that is worn for years, repaired when needed, treasured and eventually passed on has a very different life from something made to be worn briefly and discarded. Vintage is perhaps the clearest expression of this philosophy. Some of the most special pieces in Annie’s own wardrobe are decades old; they have gathered stories, memories and character over time, and are still being worn today.

This appreciation for individuality and craftsmanship also extends to the designers Annie champions. Collaboration has always been an important part of Annie’s Ibiza.

Over the years, she has worked with designers including Conner Ives, Clio Peppiatt, Richard Quinn and Silvia Astore, creating exclusive pieces for the stores. These collaborations bring together different creative perspectives and allow Annie to support emerging and established talent while creating something that feels unique to Ibiza.
